Peaceful Village Scenes
Evening Stroll

Evening Stroll

Evenings are a great time fer strolls. I travel rownd the world doin motivational speaking, and ever so offen I find myself in some intersting little town with all kinds of personality and charm. Raylene ushually travels with me, and we like to take evenin strolls down side streets in the old sections of town.

One day I hope to come onto a little village like this one. The woman in the lower right kinda reminds me of my aunt Opal. She don't walk so good, so she walks real slow, but she loves to git owt and walk where the people are.

Years ago I lived in a little village in Korea, and it wuz a wonderful place.... folks owt a walkin everwhere, open-air markets, and friendliness wuz just in the air. Over here in this country it seems like folks don't do that so much. Work all day, drive home, the garage door open sessamees and yew drive in, closin it behind yew. Folks don't know their naybors... well it jest seems like we've lost our sense of community.

These folks in this village have community... no cars.. and everbody's owt and abowt... kind a homey-like.
